The Chicago Bears are proud to host their inaugural Celebrating Women and Girls in Sports Day, including the first-ever Women in Sports Media Career Expo, brought to you by the Chicago Bears Women's Advisory Board, on Wednesday, Aug. 13 as part of the 2025 Chicago Bears Training Camp by LRS. This new initiative celebrates the role of women and girls in sports, from rising athletes to emerging front office professionals.

"The Chicago Bears' focus on the empowerment and support of women-driven initiatives is our responsibility, and at the core of our progression as a charter NFL franchise," said Chicago Bears President and CEO Kevin Warren. "Celebrating and embracing women and girls in sports is a critical component for us as we strive to move the game of football forward, creating opportunities for progress with purpose and intention. We are grateful for the steps that our organization has taken as a leader in the Girls Flag progression, in both the Chicagoland area and the State of Illinois, as well as internationally in the United Kingdom and Spain."

Local college students have been invited to take part in the Women in Sports Media Career Expo at Halas Hall, a platform for networking, mentorship and career development alongside members of the Bears Women's Advisory Board. The expo will feature workshops, panel discussions and direct engagement with women working in sports communications, broadcasting and digital media.

"The game is better when everyone is included," said Chicago Bears Chairman George H. McCaskey. "We have witnessed firsthand how passionate these young women are for the sport. We are proud to have days like today celebrated."

As part of the club's broader celebration of women and girls in sports, the Bears will welcome five high schools from across Illinois to Training Camp between July 29 and Aug. 14. Each school is being recognized for either launching or participating in a girls flag football program this year.

Scheduled visits include Simeon High School on July 29, Harvard High School on July 30, Carver Military Academy on July 31, Homewood-Flossmoor High School on Aug. 2 and Butler College Prep on Aug. 14. Each visit will include exclusive access to Bears practice and opportunities to meet players, coaches and front office executives. Chicago Bears President and CEO Kevin Warren and his wife Greta Warren are donating sneakers to each participating team.

"This event is designed to give young women a sense of what's possible, and how to get there," said Chicago Bears EVP of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion & Chief Impact Officer Tanesha Wade. "We're bringing aspiring professionals and flag football players together with women who have built careers in sports to exchange knowledge, build confidence and leave with next steps. It's a powerful moment of connection and possibility."

The Bears are proud to welcome these rising athletes to Training Camp and celebrate their role in shaping the future of football. All girls flag football programs are brought to you by Gatorade, Nike and Visa.

Fans attending camp can enjoy themed activations across campus, including pop-up retail with Alice and Wonder making custom hat and patch pressing, permanent jewelry and exclusive 2025 Bears merchandise. Fanatics will offer 40% off all full-price women's apparel. Specialty lemonade will be available in the concessions area, along with food from women-owned vendors like Savory Crust, Sporty's, My Funnel Truck and Lovely Lemon.

To add to the lively atmosphere, a Chicago native DJ Francesca Eva will perform live at Training Camp and, for the first time, is also scheduled to DJ at Bears gamedays this season.

The Bears remain committed to fostering productive conversation, action and development for girls in athletics. This includes ongoing efforts that began in 2021 to expand girls flag football programs across Illinois and internationally. In that time, the team created coach and player clinics, hosted the first-ever high school state championship and collegiate women's flag football game and celebrated the official sanctioning of girls flag football as an IHSA sport.

"We're incredibly proud to recognize women and girls in sports through a dedicated day at Training Camp for the first time," said Chicago Bears Director of Football Development Gustavo Silva. "This is more than just a game, it's about visibility, equity and building pathways. This day celebrates how far we've come and how much potential lies ahead."

Most recently, the Bears returned to London, Birmingham and Manchester to host girls flag football championships just eight weeks after helping kick off the third season of girls flag football in the United Kingdom. They are also set to launch new leagues this fall in Spain.

Fans can also follow along on Bears social throughout Training Camp as the team welcomes Girls Flag Football players from across the state.
